Hello and welcome to my practice.

Here's the deal: You already have the most essential elements for personal growth, but many of us are unaware of these valuable internal resources (such as our character strengths and worthiness), which play a crucial role in emotional well-being, self-confidence, and healthy relationships. This unawareness often stems from our upbringing, conditioning, or traumatic experiences that have led us to forget what we bring to the table.

I want to show you how to access your internal resources by helping you get reacquainted with your Authentic Self.

The process of uncovering your Authentic Self lies at the heart of recovery. This journey can be tough, as overcoming ingrained thought patterns feels uncomfortable. We cling to old beliefs about ourselves because they’re familiar, but in reality they no longer serve us. My mission as a therapist is to create a secure space for you to examine the thoughts and feelings that arise during this transformative process. Your personal history is unique, and my goal is to help you understand how your experiences have led you here while we collaborate to achieve your goals.

Invest in a relationship with your Authentic Self

An Expert in
Love Addiction

I am passionate about being a therapist. Not only do I find joy in helping people create change, but I also dreamt of this career for years before overcoming my own fears and taking the steps to arrive here.

Before becoming a clinician, I spent 15 years in an industry that wasn’t right for me. During that period, I experienced marriage and divorce, relocated across the country multiple times, battled depression and anxiety, navigated tumultuous relationships, and tried to succeed in my outwardly glamorous magazine career—all while unknowingly suffering from an attachment injury known as love addiction.

Then, during a very difficult time in my life, a therapist guided me through a lot of challenging self-work that ultimately proved to be healing and paid off big time. It was uncomfortable, but when I came through the process I realized two valuable lessons:

Therapy can be transformative if we commit to doing the work
& THIS is the kind of support I want to provide for others.

My life has changed dramatically since then; but even amid that chaos, I knew I wanted to work in a helping profession…I just didn't know how to make it happen.

Going back to school to pursue a Master's degree seemed "too hard," and I believed I was "too old" (inherited cultural messages that felt true at the time); so instead I explored Chinese Medicine, mindfulness teachings, earned my yoga teaching certification, and enrolled in meditation courses trying to find what I was seeking. After years of attempting to fill the void with certifications, I finally realized it was time to take control of my path or risk remaining unfulfilled (and therapy helped with that, too).

My time in therapy, plus personal experience with love addiction, fuel my passion for helping others who struggle with this often-misunderstood attachment injury. This, combined with education and training in addiction and trauma, means I’m able to work within my scope of practice while truly getting it.

My therapeutic style is direct. I'm not the therapist who simply nods and continually asks, And how does that make you feel? -- although there's nothing inherently wrong with that approach, it never resonated with me as a client, and it’s not very helpful to a person dealing with love addiction.
